Description
Entry Condition / Selection criteria: Stock selection for the strategy adopts the Top-Down approach, i.e. by first ensuring the Sector / Industry is in Momentum and then selecting the strongest Stock in the Sector / Industry. The stocks for this strategy are selected mostly from Nifty100. Further filtering is achieved by Momentum Indicators unique to InvestIn10.
Position Sizing & Diversification: Each of the 10 Stocks are given an equal capital allocation (10% per stock), to start with. The gaining Stocks are not pruned off to forcefully maintain equal weightage, this can result in un-equal weightage when Stocks become multi-baggers. Care is also taken to select Stocks from different Sectors & Industry to reduce the risk profile.
Holding duration: Stocks are held till there is Momentum, and Momentum Tracking is done using proprietary Momentum Indicators coded by InvestIn10. Stocks holding duration can range from few weeks to couple of months.
Exit Condition / Risk management: Stock will be held till Momentum exists or a better Stock in Momentum is discovered. No Stop Losses are used. The Strategy can select Liquid or Gold ETFs when the situation demands the same.
Adjustment / Rebalance Frequency: Weekly or depending on Market conditions. If most stocks of the strategy are in Momentum, the Adjustment is not forced every week, this is done to reduce transaction costs.
User Awareness
- The User has to maintain about 5% extra cash (sometimes more) on the sidelines during Adjustments / Rebalances due to the Delivery Margin requirement.
- While strategy is same for all users, Real life performance may differ based on Entry / Exit price. User should understand and accept the end results.
- Users are advised to monitor their trading accounts for any significant deviation or errors despite the automation of the Strategy. You won’t become rich in the short term with any Strategy.
- Users should consider zero brokerage brokers for better net ROI.
